Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 12/ ripe bananas, sliced
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar substitute, such as Swerve
  • 1/4 cup maple flavored syrup, such as Pyure
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp banana extract
  • 1/2 tsp maple extract
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup coffee, hot
  • 1/2 cup milk, hot
  • 3 tbs banana syrup, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp banana extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbs banana syrup
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 tbs maple flavored syrup, such as Pyure

Method

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Combine bananas, brown sugar substitute, and maple syrup substitute in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until sugar has melted. Add water, increase heat, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in salt, cinnamon, banana extract, maple extract, and vanilla extract. Use an immersion blender to whip until well combined.
  3. For the banana cream foam, combine cream and banana syrup in a glass and use a frother to beat until foamy.
  4. For caramelized bananas, melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Stir in maple-flavored syrup. Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the skillet and cook until golden brown and caramelized, 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Pour coffee into a mug. Combine banana syrup, banana extract and hot milk in a cup and pour over coffee. Top with banana cream foam and caramelized bananas.
