  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped ham
  • 1 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • Hot Honey

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

  5. Use a paring knife to cut the dough into 9 or 12 squares.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until browned on the top and around the edges, 22 to 24  minutes.
  7. Let cool 5 minutes and drizzle the top with hot honey before serving.
